Vejer is located right in the heart of the Costa de la Luz, a short drive away from both Tarifa and Cadiz, both of which are reachable by car and boat.

The easiest way to get here by plane is to fly into one of the airports closest to the village (Jerez, Sevilla or Malaga). From here, take the bus to Vejer de la Frontera.

Most major cities in Spain have ground transportation to Vejer. You can take a high speed train to either Seville, Malaga, Cadiz or Jerez, and then take the bus.

Vejer has two bus stops. One is in town on the Plazuela, while the other is slightly further away as you have to walk (20min) or take a taxi down the hill to La Barca de Vejer on the N340.

The closest train stations are at Cadiz and San Fernando, both about 40 kilometres away. One can easily get taxis or buses to and from either of these stations.

Vejer itself can easily be explored on foot or by bicycle. Many people choose these options. Bike rentals are available at various locations within the city. For locations outside the city, like beaches or other sites, bus services and taxis are available.
