The beach of El Palmar is found 9 kilometers from Vejer de la Frontera. It is the closest beach to the urban nucleus of this locality. It consists of 12 kilometers of golden sands between the capes of Trafalgar and Roche.
It is an extensive golden sand beach, highly frequented by tourists 12 months out of the year. There you can surf when the weather permits. You'll find hundreds of surfers there. This beach is also perfect to take a walk on, swim or just sunbathe. It is surrounded by beach bars and bars that are right on the beach. The necessary services like showers, lifeguards in the summer, hostels and campings are offered closeby.
It is not a nudist beach, but it is not a strange occurence to find nudists in secluded areas.
